HR6 Series Fuse-Switch Disconnector

The HR6 series fuse-switch disconnectors (hereinafter referred to as “switches”) are mainly used in distribution circuits and motor circuits with high short-circuit currents, rated voltage AC 690 V and conventional free-air thermal current up to 630 A. They serve as power switches, isolating switches, emergency switches, and for circuit protection, but are generally not used for direct making and breaking of a single motor. This product complies with IEC 60947-3 and GB/T 14048.3 standards.

Model Designation 6

Structural Features

The switch consists of a base, cover and arc chutes, all made of arc-resistant plastic, forming an all-plastic structure. The fixed contacts are directly mounted on the base. The arc chutes are easy to assemble and disassemble. Each arc chute has an inner chamber and an outer chamber, adopting multi-piece metal arc grids, which enhance the arc-extinguishing capability and improve contact life.
The NT-type fuse-links are installed inside the cover. The cover can rotate in a fan shape along the support, providing a large electrical isolation distance to meet the requirements of an isolating switch.
The cover can be easily removed from the base, making installation and replacement of fuse-links very convenient. The base has two sets of mounting holes to meet the installation requirements in various switchgears and on panels. Auxiliary contacts can be installed on both sides of the switch as required to provide signals indicating the open/closed status of the switch.

Normal Service and Installation Conditions

  • Ambient air temperature not higher than +40°C and not lower than -5°C.
  • Installation altitude not exceeding 2000 m.
  • Humidity: At a maximum temperature of +40°C, the relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 50%. Higher relative humidity is permitted at lower temperatures (e.g., 90% at 20°C). Appropriate measures shall be taken against occasional condensation caused by temperature variations.
  • Pollution degree of the surrounding environment is degree 3.
  • The switch shall be installed in a location free from significant vibration, shock vibration and rain/snow exposure. The installation site shall be free from explosive media, and the medium shall contain no gases or dust sufficient to corrode metal or damage insulation.
