Product Overview
The HGLR (ETGLR) series isolator-fuse combination (hereinafter referred to as the switch) is a multi-pole, manually operated switch. lts enclosure is manufactured from glass fibre-reinforced unsaturated polyester resin, offering excellent dielectric properties, protection capabilities and reliable safety.
The operating mechanism comprises a spring-energised,instantaneous- release acceleration mechanism and a multi-break contact structure that ensures instantaneous closing and opening, irrespective of the speed of the operating handle, thereby significantly enhancing all electrical and mechanical performance characteristics.
The isolator-fuse assembly ensures the safe closing and opening of circuits under live and loaded conditions, whilst providing reliable safety protection against overcurrent or short-circuit conditions. The open position is clearly visible.
Normal operating and installation conditions
- The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +40°C nor fall below -5°C ; the average temperature over a 24-hour period shall not exceed +35°C
- The installation site shall be at an altitude not exceeding 2,000 m.
- Humidity: At a maximum temperature of +40°C , the relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 50 per cent; higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures, for example up to 90 per cent at 20°C . Special measures shall be taken to prevent condensation that may occasionally occur due to temperature fluctuations
- The ambient pollution level is Class 3.
- The switchgear shall be installed in a location free from significant shaking, shock or vibration, and protected from rain and snow, Furthermore, the installation site shall be free from explosive atmospheres and from gases and dust capable of corroding metals or damaginginsulation.

Structural Features
- The HGLR(ETGLR)-63-400 isolator-fuse assembly features a modular design, allowing for flexible configuration according to customer requirements.
- As the HGLR(ETGLR)-630 is designed for high currents, it employs a monobloc structure to ensure stable product performance.
- The operating mechanism utilises a spring-storage mechanism; when the product is made or broken, the spring releases instantaneously, enabling rapid making and breaking (13.8 metres per second), irrespective of the speed of the operatinghandle, which significantly enhances the ability to extinguish arcs
- The switch features a housing manufactured from glass fibre-reinforced unsaturated polyester resin, offering excellent flame-retardant properties, high dielectric strength, superior protection and reliable safety.
- The switch utilises parallel multi-break contacts, which provide a self-cleaning function.
- The switch ensures the circuit can be made or broken under load and provides reliable overcurrent and short-circuit protection.
The switch is fitted with a transparent protective cover that is easy to remove, making the replacement of fuses safer, more convenient and quicker
